WHAT:
I'm Not Here Right Now is an investigative performance project co-created with Lauren Zeftel, exploring the thickening of our digital lives and thinning of our physical ones. We live in two places now: our bodies, rooms, cities and towns; and the body, room, city, town of the internet. While the culture fixates on what we might lose to AI, we are busy losing it already: losing the parts of ourselves that are incompatible with constant digital connection. This project goes looking for those disappearing places and asks what, if anything, might be saved.

HOW:
This is a developmental process, focused on inquiry rather than product. Our experiments will be based in conversation, writing, movement and improvisation. Performance experience is welcome but in no way required. There is no cost to participate. The group will culminate with a sharing of findings for an invited audience on August 20.
